Day one

Twilight workshop: Day One, 2.00pm– 6.00pm

2.00-2.15pm Registration and questionnaire at the venue
2.15-2.45pm Introduction to the NBO practitioner training program
2.45-3.30pm Foundations of the NBO as a relationship building tool for parents and their babies
3.30-4.15pm Watching the baby: refining your observational skills
4.15-4.30pm Break
4.30-5.15pm The NBO step-by-step 1: Video demonstration
5.15-6.00pm NBO ‘take-home’ concepts, homework and planning for Day two

Day two

Full day workshop, 9:00am – 5:00pm

9- 9.15am Introduction and aims for the workshop
9.15 - 9.45am Small group work including review of homework 
9.45 - 10.30am The NBO step-by-step 2: Recording the NBO and providing anticipatory guidance
10.30 - 11am Administering the NBO (practice with dolls)
11 - 11.15am Break
11.15 - 12.00pm Using the NBO to build relationships: in families and with families
12.00 - 12.30pm Using the NBO with families from different cultural communities
12.30 - 1.30pm Lunch
1.30 - 2.30pm Role-play with dolls
2.30 - 3.15pm Working with at-risk infants and their families
3.15 - 3.30pm Break
3.30 - 4.30pm Live demonstration of NBO and discussion
4.30 - 5.00pm Wrap up: steps to certification, post-training questionnaires
