The following candidates must apply via Midwifery/Nursing in the Victorian Allocation and Placement System (APS), formerly Computer Match:
- Bachelor of Midwifery / Bachelor of Nursing (dual registrant)
- Bachelor of Nursing OR Bachelor of Midwifery
- Post Graduate Diploma of Midwifery (Clinical Placement – non employed model).
Application requirements are clearly outlined on the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMVC) website.
The following candidates apply directly to the Women's:
- Post Graduate Diploma of Midwifery (Employment Model).
Application process
Please follow the three step process which includes required documentation and providing referees.
1. Start application
Login or create an account on the Women's careers website: careers.thewomens.org.au
Find the graduate position/program you are interested in, and select Apply Now. Please note: you will need to apply for each of the positions/programs you are interested in.
2. Required documentation
Submit the required documentation with your application:
- Résumé/Curriculum Vitae (CV) that includes your career intention statement. You can use our provided CV template (Word).
- Copy of transcript of results or interim results
- Clinical appraisals: Your two most recent clinical appraisals for all applications (only one clinical appraisal is required for post graduate midwifery applicants). Only the Summative Assessment is required.
- Completed rotation preference form (if applicable):
- Combined Program Rotation Preference Form 2026 (Word)
- Nursing Program Rotation Preference Form 2026 (Word)
- Midwifery Program (No placement preference form required)
- Post Graduate Midwifery Program (No placement preference form required)
Every attempt will be made to place graduates in their preferred rotation/s.
3. Provide referees
For Nursing, Midwifery, Combined and Post Graduate Midwifery (Clinical Placement/Non employment streams).
Applicants will need to provide two clinical nursing or midwifery referees to the Victorian Allocation and Placement System (APS). Application requirements are clearly outlined on the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV) website. Interviews
The Women’s will be conducting in-person group interviews.
