Inability to orgasm

Many women find it hard to reach any kind of sexual climax with their partner, yet they can easily orgasm by themselves.

An inability to achieve orgasm is called anorgasmia. The female orgasm is achieved either by stimulating the clitoris or the inside of the vagina, or both. The female orgasm is purely for pleasure, and there are many different ways to achieve it.

Many women find it hard to reach any kind of sexual climax with their partner, yet they can easily orgasm by themselves. A simple solution to this problem is to try different things sexually with your partner, even if it seems embarrassing at first. It is also important, no matter how long you have been together, to explore each other sexually. Kissing and touching are important for building up to sex. It is not necessary to have simultaneous orgasm with your partner; every couple is different and each couple simply needs to find a sexual rhythm that suits them both.

Some women have never experienced an orgasm at all, either in sexual intercourse or through masturbation. If this is the case for you, and you have never masturbated, it’s a good idea to get to know your genital anatomy, and to try different masturbation techniques. If you are uncomfortable about masturbating, you might wish to use a mirror to look at your vagina and to become familiar with it first.

Try using a vibrator, either on your own or with a partner. If that gives you sexual pleasure it may also help to stimulate orgasm. Orgasm requires some level of letting go and allowing your body to experience the pleasure of orgasm. If you find that nothing works for you at all then you may find that sexual counselling will help you.
